From shooters to post production professionals, these classes will help anyone find their way through the maze of HD production. The series is broken down into eight parts – Camera Fundamentals, Understanding HD Formats and Compression, Audio for Location Recording, The Hows and Whys of Lighting, Workflows & Media Management, Introduction to Digital Cinema, The Secrets of Optics, and Choosing the Right Camera. These classes build on each other, but can also be taken individually.
This workshop focuses on the latest digital cinema cameras in use today. From the new BlackMagic Cinema Camera all the way up to the Red Epic and Sony F65, this class gives an overview of modern digital cinema cameras. Focus is on understanding and working with Raw and Log based camera systems, both on set and in post.
