Nokia OZO Intensive

This one-day, intensive workshop is designed to teach attendees the basics of the Nokia OZO, including media, workflows and best practices. This hands-on workshop will cover everything from unpacking OZO from the box, building and cabling, instructions on setting up the Creator software, and the basic workflow. Attendees will then pack up the OZO and practice building it out themselves. The workshop will conclude with shooting practice footage and playing it back from OZO.

AbelCine Workshop Certificate

Attendees who complete AbelCine’s Nokia OZO Intensive workshop will receive a Certificate of Completion from AbelCine.. This comprehensive workshop is designed to give attendees a strong working knowledge of production tools and practices. The certificate indicates that attendees have completed the workshop and have experience in the operation of these tools. Workshop attendees will be added to the OZO Technician List.

This introductory workshop is designed for anyone who wants to become familiar the basics of VR filmmaking or learn how to use the Nokia OZO.


Juliet McNally is one of AbelCine’s Digital Cinema Specialists. She Juliette-01201earned her B.A. in Film at Emerson College in Boston, where she was nominated for Best Cinematographer and won a Best Advanced Film Evvy Award. She joined AbelCine’s Burbank office in 2005 as a rental assistant – one of only seven employees in the office at the time. During the company’s transition to a larger building, Juliet also transitioned into a new role as a Camera Technology Specialist. Geoff Smith joined AbelCine in 2015 as a Camera Technology Specialist with a focus on workflows from capture to GeoffSmith_bio5792Cpost-production. Geoff has a background in technology from web development to content management at companies like VMware, Lucasfilm and Silicon Graphics (SGI). Prior to joining AbelCine, he worked on an independent feature as a DIT and Assistant Editor. A passionate photographer, his editorial and fine art work has been published in newspapers and magazines, as well as exhibited in New York City and online. Originally from New York, Geoff graduated from California State University, Chico earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Design with an emphasis in Media Arts. Corey Christian joined the AbelCine team incorey 2016 as a Camera Technology Specialist based out of the NY office. When he isn’t behind a computer, he’s usually out testing gear or capturing new perspectives with his drone. Corey is an Avid Media Composer certified editor, and has previously taught Advanced Editing & Cinematography courses in NYC. Behind the camera, he has shot everything from lifestyle and non-profit stories, to destination weddings with his production company, Going Home Productions. Originally from Farmingville, NY, he attended Flagler College in Saint Augustine, FL, where he earned his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Media Production & Cinema and Media Studies. Megan Donnelly is one of AbelCine’s Camera Technology Specialists. Originally from Mesa, Arizona,megan_4288B_adj Megan graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.F.A. in Media Arts with a concentration in Cinematography. Prior to joining AbelCine, Megan was the Technical Manager at Fletcher Camera and Lenses / CineVerse in Chicago. She also developed the curriculum for the International Cinematographer’s Guild Digital Loader Workshops, which she taught nationwide. Megan is an accomplished Director of Photography for commercials, music videos, and narratives.
