“Maureen taught me more about producing in those 12.5 hours than the six weeks of a Master’s producing class. There were so many things I didn’t know about Producing and I have been producing shorts for a few years. It was worth the flight from Chicago.”

– AnnMarie Parker, Producer, Nickel a Day Films

“Maureen Ryan is a gem. Her insights and her willingness to share her knowledge was just over-the-top.”

– Sheri Ratick Stroud, Producer/ VP, Wonder Pictures, Springfield, VA

“Valuable lessons come from an experienced teacher who is passionate about making quality films and honing those skills and ideas.”

– Nancy B., video producer

“The class was stimulating and rigorous – full of real-world situations and good examples of various solutions for the producer’s bag of tricks. Clever, meaningful and memorable.”

– Lynn R., cinematographer

“Maureen Ryan is not only an accomplished, highly regarded, and awarded filmmaker; she is an incredible inspiration. She has an innate ability to motivate and encourage her students and to give them confidence.”

– Mary R., film festival founder and producer

“Being a professional trainer for the past 15 years and holding a degree in Educational Psychology, in an industry filled with half qualified amateur trainers, or worse, Maureen Ryan is by far one of the absolute best trainers I’ve ever had the privilege of learning from. The course content was in depth, Ms. Ryan is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, giving information that was practical and directly applicable, as well as very clear and understandable. Best of all, we were left with resources and the inspiration to explore the topic even further on our own long after the class was over. I would personally give this seminar my absolute highest recommendation to others.”

– Ben Balser, Trainer/Consultant

Producing the Indie Seminar was an informative positive experience. The instructor, Maureen Ryan, was a total Professional and a true subject matter expert. She was totally prepared, very organized, and presented the material in a clear interesting way. The other seminar attendees were also a pleasure to meet and discuss experiences with. I would definitely take another class.”

– Maria Rueda, Independent Documentary Film Producer
