Custom MoVI Training

AbelCine offers custom training on all Freefly MōVI products. Select the day and time that works for you, and let us know what system you’d like to be trained on. We will contact you shortly to confirm your booking.

Our standard custom training can accommodate up to 3 people and lasts for three hours. The price is $675, with an additional $225 per hour after that. If you would like to book a training for a large group, at your location, or have specific needs, then use our custom training form here – Custom Training for Groups.

Our custom camera training classes are designed to give you exactly the information you need for operation of your camera. These custom training classes are designed for small groups of up to 3 people for a real, focused training experience. You can provide the camera equipment or we can provide it (based on availability). Our goal is to get you up to speed on the MoVI systems.

Please note that training requests are subject to instructor and equipment availability. AbelCine Training will respond to all inquires within 48 hours. All prices on the website are estimates, and we will confirm the final price when your session is scheduled.

Ianbio_2013Ian McCausland is one of AbelCine’s Camera Technology Specialists and Trainers. He holds a BA in Film from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and his credits include the 1999 Black Sabbath concert video The Last Supper and the 2008 Smashing Pumpkins documentary If All Goes Wrong. As one of the original Abel staff members, Ian was integral to the formation of the company’s rental department in 1990. ANDY_bio3Andy Shipsides is AbelCine’s Director of Education. He received his B.A. from the University of Florida and received his MFA in Film & Television from SCAD. Andy joined AbelCine in 2007 and has become a trusted resource, both within the company and in the industry at large. As a Camera Technology Specialist, he has provided technical support to numerous features and TV shows; he also continues to teach specialized camera classes. Andy serves as a Technical Editor for CineTechnica, AbelCine’s technical blog, and is also an active contributor to publications such as HD Video Pro. Follow Andy on Twitter: @AndyShipsides

Juliet_biov2Juliet McNally is one of AbelCine’s Digital Cinema Specialists. She earned her B.A. in Film at Emerson College in Boston, where she was nominated for Best Cinematographer and won a Best Advanced Film Evvy Award. She joined AbelCine’s Burbank office in 2005 as a rental assistant – one of only seven employees in the office at the time. During the company’s transition to a larger building, Juliet also transitioned into a new role as a Camera Technology Specialist. Jeff Lee joined the AbelCine team in 2009. He attended Rutgers’ Mason Gross School of Arts where he concentrated in both photography and filmmaking. In addition to his current role as Training Manager, Jeff also leads specialized classes and workshops in AbelCine NY’s Learning Point and serves as a Technical Editor on the CineTechnica blog. Additionally, Jeff is an accomplished still photographer who has traveled extensively working on documentary projects. Dave_bio_100pxDave Kincaid is one of AbelCine’s HD Camera Support Technicians. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, he studied Audio & Video at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennesee. With an extensive background in electronics, Dave found his true passion in cameras while working with Canon DSLRs. He joined the team in the NY office earlier this year and in his role, works closely with the sales and rental departments to provide both behind-the-scenes and client-facing support.
