Media, Compression, and Formats Online
This three-hour course focusing on the many different HD video formats. The course is designed to give camera operators, producers, and editors a better understanding of the video formats available today and how they compare with each other. Topics include broadcast standards, compression, color space and recording media. Formats covered include Sony XDCAM/XAVC, Panasonic P2, Arri ALEXA, RED RAW, Canon HDSLR, Canon XF, AVCHD and HDV.
This online workshop includes over two hours of video content, divided into three sections. Once you enroll, you will gain access to a recording of the workshop for three months and you will be able to follow along with the instructor’s presentation on your screen while watching the video. All videos can also be downloaded for later viewing. Additionally, you’ll receive access to class documents, including the instructor’s presentation, related articles, and downloads.
