Sony a7S Workshop

Overview

As a result of the popularity of the Sony Alpha a7s, AbelCine has created a one-day a7s Production Workshop.

Whether you own an a7s or are considering purchasing one in the near future, this workshop will be focused on both the tech and craft sides of using this unique camera system.

In the morning session, AbelCine trainers will take you through both the tech & post sides of the camera. Sensor science, lens mounts, recording options, ports and post workflows will all be covered so that you are comfortable with all of the options that each camera provides. Best practices to get the most out of your image will be covered as well as demos of post in Resolve, Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro.

In the afternoon session, Jem Schofield from theC47 will cover effectively shooting with the a7s in the real world. He will cover rigging and lensing the camera, exposure techniques, external monitoring and 4K recording, audio setup and recording and practical shooting scenarios.

This session will be focused on Sony’s a7s camera but the information will largely be applicable to anyone shooting.

Note: It is encouraged that you bring your a7s camera system if you own one, but it is not a requirement to take the class.
