AbelCine is proud to host the Zephyr/Scout/Pilot Workshops, instructed by Dan Ikeda.
Over the last 30 years, Steadicam Camera Stabilizing Systems has become an integral part of the film and video production of most movies, television shows, documentaries and reality programs. There are thousands of Steadicams in use worldwide, and skill with this much sought after instrument is an increasingly valuable asset. Even some directors, such as Robert Rodriguez, do their own operating, further diminishing the gap between directors, producers and camerapersons.
99% of all the world’s Steadicam Operators have taken formal workshops. Whether they have choosen a two-day Steadicam Workshop or the more intensive five-day Steadicam Workshop, they have taken training from highly experienced Operator/Instructors and have left the Workshop experience in possession of the skill and information that allows them to pursue a career in Steadicam.
The Steadicam workshops have no pre-requisites. From novice videographer to seasoned cameraperson to producer, director, writer and all other crew positions, our students arrive with the intense desire to glean everything they can from the experience.
